 Gabion Wires Box are made of heavy galvanized wire/ZnAl(Golfan)coated wire/PVC or PE coated wires,the mesh shape is hexagonal style.The Gabion Basket are used widely in slope protection,foundation pit supporting,mountain rock holding,river and dams scour protection.

The double-twisted mesh connections of the woven mesh prevent the mesh from coming apart if the wire is cut or snaps,in each case the location of the fault is restricted to the neighbouring areas.The units are attached to each other using stitching wire and/or staples.

  Specifications:

· Material: low carbon steel wire, stainless steel wire, iron wire.

· Surface treatment: galfan, galvanized, PVC coated, galvanized plus PVC coated.

· Mesh opening shape: hexagon.

· Weaving method: normal twist (double twisted or triple twisted), reverse twist (double twisted).

· Nominal thickness of PVC coating layer is 0.50 mm to 1.00 mm.

· Galvanized is hot dipped galvanized. Thickness of galvanized layer can be manufactured according to customer's requirement, most can reach 300 g/m².

· The height of gabion mattress is 0.17 - 0.5 m.

· Tensile strength of wire is above 350-550 Mpa. The weight of zinc layer is above 245 g/m². Selvedge wire is cruder than the mesh wire. Lacing wire is thinner than the mesh wire, such as mesh wire is 3.0 mm, selvedge wire is 3.9 mm, lacing wire is 2.4 mm.

Zinc-aluminum alloy is called Galfan in foreign, zinc coating is high zinc plus aluminum. Aluminum content is 5-10%, zinc content is 90-95% in Galfan. The meaning of Galfan is "an extraordinary galvanized". Corrosion resistance of the products is about 2-3 times that of ordinary galvanized. Currently, Galfan galvanized wire mainly used in gabion basket.
